UPCOMING BOARD MEETING

We are advising you that the next Board meeting of the Federation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 8:00 PM at Congregation Magen David 17100 NE

6th Avenue, North Miami
Beach.

The main points of the agenda for this meeting will be:

1.                   Election of the new board for 2006-2008

2.                   Activities planning for the incoming Board

3.                   Individual Membership

4.                   Treasurer’s Report

5.                   Other Business and Conclusion

We invite you to attend this important meeting and ask that you please bring any friends or acquaintances who you feel would be interested in participating.

Needless to say, the Federation is the outside link between your Congregation/ Institution and the Sephardic community. We have many outstanding projects for the benefit of the whole community and their success depends in the over-all participation of our members. We are most proud of  our work with the Sephardic students at various Jewish schools and we are proud to inform you that as result of our efforts on education today, for the first time in South Florida, there are more than one hundred Sephardic students reciting their tefilot according to our Sephardic traditions. Furthermore, they are also being taught Sephardic history and music at some of the schools. We have also created a Scholarship Fund to enable Sephardic students whose parents are not in a financial position to send their children to a Jewish day school, to able to do so.

We can only go as far as the community decides to take us. We need your support and assistance to continue to expand our programs and maintain our Jewish-Sephardic traditions.

Looking forward to your continued support.

Very Truly,

Isaac Ben-Ezra

President
