As a member you “get” to count yourself among the diverse Magen David families - households who have made a spiritual commitment to sustain this Synagogue as a vibrant center for the Sephardic Jewish community living in South Florida, for which we are truly grateful.
You “get” to make well-directed contributions, a particularly important Jewish obligation, for contributions are not only welcome but necessary and are an expectation, beyond dues, of members in any Synagogue, to sustain the place, programs and people and to meet the challenges of the present, to realize our dreams for the future and to assist those in need in our own community and in the world around us.
Whether you come to learn or laugh, remember or forget, connect to your past, your fellow Jews or your children, to fill a need for spirituality or divulge a need for healing, to explore your heritage or discover it, or even if you rarely come at all, you “get” the comfort of knowing that through your membership you ensure the strength of this institution as it perpetuates the values of our heritage that guide us toward our highest aspirations.
So, for those of you who are Magen David Members in good standing, you “get” a hearty Mazal Tov and thanks, fellow member!
